Week 13 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds
Are you having difficulty deciding which player(s) to target in the Week 13 fantasy football waiver wire adds? We’ve got you covered.
The end of the 2017 fantasy football season is coming to a close. And, for most of you, the 2017 Fantasy Football Playoffs begin in Week 14. Below, is our list of Week 13 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds. Subscribe and Listen to The Flex! Fantasy Football Podcast for more.
Quarterbacks
Case Keenum, Minnesota Vikings
Since Week 8, Keenum is the 7th ranked Quarterback in fantasy football. During this stretch, his average of 21.5 fantasy points per game is tied with Cam Newton and ahead of guys such as Jared Goff, Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. Keenum is a safe play and provides a high floor. Keenum’s ceiling may be limited but he is surrounded with, arguably, the best talent on both sides of the ball.
Players to add if available:
- Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
- Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers
- Jimmy Garoppolo, San Fransico 49ers
Running Backs:
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
A little over two weeks ago, Aaron Jones suffered a sprained MCL. The prognosis determined the recovery timetable would be 3-6 weeks. Jones is ahead of schedule and may return to practice in Week 13. Don’t expect him to play Week 13 but Jones could be available heading into Week 14. For many, Week 14 begins the first week of the fantasy football playoffs. If you’re a heavy underdog in your matchup, Jones could be a guy to help you overcome the odds. Ty Montgomery is incapable of sustaining a full-workload. Jamal Williams played very well against Pittsburgh in Week 12 but Aaron Jones is the best running back option in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers may return around the same time frame and that can only help the running game. Jones is available in 70 percent of fantasy leagues.
Players to add if available:
- Dion Lewis, New England Patriots
- Rod Smith, Dallas Cowboys
- David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals
Wide Receivers:
Josh Gordon has been a dynamic playmaker in the NFL. Of course, the question of concern is the fact that Gordon has not appeared in an NFL game since 2015. When you consider the fact Gordon admitted to being under the influence during every NFL game he’s ever appeared in, you have to wonder how good he can be taking the field with a clear mind. The physical ability is still there from all eyewitness accounts. One report stated he recently ran the 40-yard dash faster than he did at the NFL combine. Browns Head Coach, Hue Jackson, said Gordon will play “a lot.” That’s good enough for me to at least add Gordon off of the waiver wire and see what he can do in his first week of NFL action.
Players to add if available:
- Jermaine Kearse, New York Jets
- Marquise Goodwin, San Fransisco 49ers
- Sammy Watkins, Los Angeles Rams
Tight Ends:
Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers Tight End, Hunter Henry tied for the league lead in touchdown receptions among tight ends in 2016. Henry has underperformed most analysts’ expectations in 2017 but the Chargers have some favorable tight end matchups in the upcoming weeks. I expect Henry to finish strong in the remaining weeks.
Players to add if available:
- Austin Seferian-Jenkins, New York Jets
- Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers
- Charles Clay, Buffalo Bills
Week 13 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds Additional Notes
